BEHIND THE LENS

Born 1991 in Cape Town, South Africa, Dylan Louw currently still resides in Cape Town.

Being surrounded by photography all his life, it was nothing but expected that he would one day be comfortable behind the lens. His interests in photography first became clearest whilst attending Tygerberg High School, where he would always act as photographer for student based events.

After high school, Dylan set to further his education in the art of photography and attended both the Higher Certificate in Photography, and Advanced Certificate in Professional Photography at Vega Cape Town. It was in his time here that he first got involved at Live Magazine - a youth based and run magazine originating from the UK. Live Magazine gave him invaluable experience in the magazine industry, as well as first hand experience and mentoring from heads of industry.

He then started collaborating mainly for Gray Marketing, which introduced him to the world of mens formal fashion and product photography.



Dylan's shoots are fast paced, energetic and mostly an experience those that have worked with him remember. 
Although while maintaining a simple core concept, his images are often signatured by simple, yet dramatic lighting.
